How Does a Mobile Tire Rack Work?

The EMX mobile racking system for tires and wheels comprises conventional tire or cantilever racks that are mounted on carriages and moved parallel to each other using a motor drive.

The mobile racking can be operated either via a control panel on the mobile trolley or optionally via a radio remote control. Storage or retrieval is carried out by selecting the desired movement command function once, whereupon the trolleys are automatically moved in the desired direction. The tires are removed or returned quickly and safely in the open aisle. The space saved offers you maximum efficiency, as this solution significantly reduces the space required.

Sliding Rack for Wheels

The new cantilever sliding rack for wheels is available in two standard sizes each for bay widths and bay depths. The system is therefore easy to plan and can be extended at any time if required. Some basic facts:
• The wheels are stacked horizontally in groups of 4 on cantilever arms
• There is space for up to 8 stacks per bay
• Thanks to the ability to drive under the stacks, the wheels can be stored or retrieved ergonomically, quickly and safely from the floor using conventional forklift trucks
• Alternatively, upright storage is also possible

With this storage principle, the tires are stored upright next to each other on crossbars
As recommended by the manufacturers, the tires can be rotated regularly thanks to direct access. Loads of up to 4,500 kg are possible per bay. This allows the hall height to be used efficiently. Up to 18,000 wheels can be stored on ten trolleys per system.
