Coop is one of Sweden’s largest grocery retailers and operates a distribution center in Eskilstuna that sets new standards across the globe. The system by SSI SCHAEFER covers an area of 77,000 sqm and serves as a central hub for the supply of over 800 stores. This top performance is made possible by the application of state-of-the-art technologies: Using the logistics software WAMAS, robotics and AI-supported processes facilitates almost fully automatic picking.

SSI SCHAEFER offers Coop a service package that effectively combines preventive maintenance and IT security measures. This means that not only the condition of the system is continuously monitored, but the more than 140 servers in the distribution center are always kept up-to-date. Two Resident Maintenance teams – for technology and IT – are continuously on site. Furthermore, Remote Support is available 24/7 for Coop.
System Patching ensures maximum availability by enabling automated installation of security-relevant updates. The operating system, database and third-party software are continuously compared with the manufacturers' security notifications for potential risks. On this basis, SSI SCHAEFER provides customized patch packages that fix weak points without affecting ongoing operation.
