Flow Racks to Ensure the FIFO Principle

Flow racks ensure the efficient storage and retrieval of goods that must be handled according to the "First In, First Out" (FIFO) principle. Depending on the design, these racks consist of slightly inclined shelves or gravity rollers on which the goods are placed. SSI SCHAEFER offers these as pallet and pallet flow racks. Regardless of the different areas of application, all flow racks have a few things in common:

FIFO principle: Flow racks enable the automatic rotation of goods, as the products stored first automatically slide to the front. Newer goods are automatically placed behind them and the oldest stored goods are removed first.

Fast and efficient picking: flow racks speed up the picking process as the goods automatically roll to the picking point. This reduces the time and labor required to store and retrieve products.

Space saving: Flow racks maximize space utilization by making optimum use of the available storage space. They enable a large number of goods to be stored in a small area.

Suitable for fast-moving items: Flow racks are particularly suitable for warehouses with high throughput and fast turnaround times, as they support the continuous flow of goods.
In environments with high warehouse throughput and strict FIFO requirements, flow racks are the ideal solution for efficient warehousing and order picking.
