Long-Term Partnership Between BD Rowa™ and SSI SCHAEFER Extended

SSI SCHAEFER, one of the world’s leading solution providers for all areas of intralogistics, and BD Rowa, the specialist for pharmaceutical logistics, have decided to continue their successful collaboration. The recently signed follow-up contract extends the partnership, which has been ongoing since 2015, by three years and includes a fixed option for continuation until 2030.

Together, SSI SCHAEFER and BD Rowa provide an advanced automation solution for the healthcare industry, serving pharmaceutical wholesalers, distributors, and warehouse service providers. Their integrated system combines BD Rowa’s Vmax dispensing robot - which automates receiving, warehouse management, and the picking of slow- and medium-moving pharmaceutical products - with SSI SCHAEFER’s scalable order buffer systems, ensuring high throughput and efficient order fulfillment. BD Rowa’s EasyLoad solution automates storage, enabling full traceability by automatically capturing batch numbers, product identification numbers of medical packaging, and expiration dates to optimize retrieval.

Designed for flexibility, the modular solution can be integrated step by step into all systems and seamlessly connected to SSI SCHAEFER’s WAMAS warehouse management system for centralized planning and control of all logistics operations.
