The art of open conversation is the basis of shared success stories. In line with this motto, SSI SCHÄFER will once again invite leaders of industry and science to its LogiMAT booth in Hall 1 to discuss trends, visions and logistics success stories live at the "LET'S TALK Expert Forum".
For Michael Mohr, EVP Global Sales at SSI SCHÄFER, the format of the expert panel is already a successful model in its second year. "When it comes to 'LET'S TALK', we are one of the market leaders. To have successfully established a new, high quality expert forum in such a short space of time is a huge achievement. This year, we welcome industry leaders from global players such as IKEA, IBM, Schaeffler and Magna among others. In addition, we are proud to be joined once again by business journalist and n-tv presenter, Gesa Eberl, who brings a breath of fresh air to discussions about the future of logistics. Tuesday, March 13th: "Shuttle Systems – An Essential Ingredient for Flexible Logistics Solutions?" And "Smart Factory - Production Logistics of the Future"
On the first day of the trade fair, SSI SCHÄFER will be unveiling a new scalable shuttle system as it expands its high-performance shuttle portfolio with innovative functional diversity. In the first talk at 1pm, experts and scientists discuss shuttle systems as an indispensable part of automated logistics centers. In the second discussion of the day at 3 pm, experts from Magna and Brose discuss the specific challenges of the Smart Factory.
Wednesday, March 14th: "Digital Transformation with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning"
Anyone striving to operate an economical system today has to be prepared for how customer purchasing behavior will change in the future. What will customers order? How frequently will they order? What will their delivery expectations be? The digitalization experts from Schenker, IBM and SimPlan have been researching such future trends and will be discussing the opportunities of artificial intelligence in logistics at 3 pm. Other talks of the day will focus on "Sustainable Software and Logistics Solutions in the Cloud" (11am) and "Automation as a Driver of Success in Logistics" (1pm) with experts of industry and guests from Schaeffler and the Fraunhofer Institute.
Thursday, March 15th: "E-commerce in Key Markets - Intralogistics Challenges"
Intralogistics is characterized as being extremely dynamic but the unstoppable e-commerce boom is putting even established companies under pressure to succeed. What are the challenges for online retailers like Zalando in a dynamic e-commerce market? How do companies like IKEA prepare for the developing digital world? These are the key questions that we will discuss at the 11am session. To end this year's LET'S TALK series, we will discuss the rising relevance of future-oriented Customer Service & Support at 3pm.
