RackBot System Elevate: Vertical and horizontal bot roaming in high-density racking systems
RackBot System Elevate expands the existing RackBot portfolio with a new generation of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs): the so-called ClimbBots. Thanks to their innovative mobility concept, these robots can move both horizontally and vertically, climbing up and down shelving units. This creates a freely moving robot swarm in where each vehicle can independently access any storage location and container within the racking system.
As with all RackBot systems, the ClimbBots' control is fully integrated into the warehouse's order management system. This enables intelligent sequencing of all picking processes—reducing the time between order creation and container delivery to under two minutes. Depending on the warehouse structure and item profile, up to 4,000 containers per hour per 1,000 m² of storage space can be transported.
Scalable Warehouse Robotics with High Fault Tolerance
The ClimbBots operate as an intelligent, fully decentralized swarm. If one bot fails, others take over its tasks—without any interruption in operations. This architecture ensures maximum system availability and minimizes risks in critical processes.
Thanks to its modular structure and high scalability, RackBot System Elevate supports a wide range of applications—from compact shelving warehouses with a few thousand containers to large-scale systems with over 300,000 storage locations.
Flexible. Efficient. Future-Proof.
RackBot System Elevate is designed to meet diverse logistical challenges and is suitable both for entry into semi-automated order picking and for expanding existing facilities. Customers benefit from the following features:
Maximum Storage Density: Up to 12 m rack height, narrow aisles starting at 900 mm, and no need for cross-traffic pathways
High-Performance Picking: 200 – 800 containers per hour per picking station, tailored to individual needs
Free Bot Roaming: Every ClimbBot can access every position in the system—no fixed zones required
Flexible Integration: Supports both B2B and B2C processes, batch and single-item picking, and various order management strategies
Easy Commissioning: No rack coding needed, immediate operational readiness, intuitive operation, standardized components
Economically Scalable: Modular system design, ROI often under 12 months, reusable system components
