Cloud solutions are on the rise everywhere. Stationary servers have become obsolete almost everywhere, not only in private and office applications, but also in warehouses. Since 2019, SAP has been offering the standard warehouse management solution SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) as a separate system within the SAP S/4HANA suite. The WMS can be hosted or operated both “on premise” (i.e. on the operator's own servers or a connected data center) and in the cloud.
