About the conference
The International Supply Chain Conference is one of Europe's leading events for logistics and supply chain management. Since it was first staged in 1983, it has developed into a wide-ranging forum attracting more than 3,000 participants from all areas of logistics. It is the place where leading thinkers and movers in the logistics sector share knowledge and recommendations for action, and a forum for the discussion of current issues and future themes in the field of supply chain management.
There is no other event in Germany where "the logistics market" is as tangible as at the International Supply Chain Conference. Every year, it provides a platform in Berlin for interaction between entrepreneurs from logistics IT, transport and services, logistics properties and the manufacturing industry, scientists, politicians and journalists. The exchange of ideas drives innovations and synergies between industry, trade and logistics services.
The 2016 International Supply Chain Conference attracted logistics experts from 20 countries. More than 3,200 attendees, 160 exhibitors and roughly 200 accredited trade journalists came together in the Conference hotels – the InterContinental and the Pullman Schweizerhof.
The theme
"Think different − Act digital" is the theme for the 2017 International Supply Chain Conference. The days of digitisation as hype are over, and we now face the hands-on challenge of putting the principles of digital industry into practice and implementing what is technically feasible. We believe that digitisation is not merely a continuation of the status quo on a higher technological level: digitisation signals a change in the way we think and the way we act – we need to be faster, braver, more customer-focused and more collaborative. Think different − Act digital is our call to action to the entire logistics community in Germany.
