High Security Standards for Handling Controlled Substances
The system is complemented by a secure closed-off area for handling of narcotics and controlled pharmaceuticals with a separate goods-in and goods-out. Pallets are directly transported to a secure zone. There, goods are repacked into bins and fed into the one-aisle SSI Cuby system, which was built into a specialized vault out of reinforced concrete.
Picking is completed by three piece picking robots and two Advanced Pick Stations. The orders are double checked for validation again at special check stations. After labeling, strapping, and palletizing, the consignment is handed over to the truck driver in-person.
