The RM maintenance technician L1 is responsible for the day to day maintenance activities on the site, ensuring all preventive and corrective activities are completed to the highest standards in line with all current legislation and OEM standards

• To be part of the Resident maintenance team, to complete preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Ensuring all activities undertaken are done so in a safe considered manner, inline with legislation and site risk assessments.
• Maintain a healthy relationship with all shift team members, working collaboratively to maintain best practise.
• Ensuring that all spares that are used, are processed accurately and timely.
• Always Represent SSI-Schaefer in a professional manner.
• Maintain a professional relationship with customer colleagues.
• To always work to company risk assessments and method statements.
• All Engineering activities are completed effectively and efficiently, working to the SSI systems and processes as specified in the OEM
• Any other related duties as required in line with business/customer needs.
• We have Systems and Procedures in place that cover how as a business, we deal with the management of Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience

The following core skills are Essential:
• A knowledge of maintenance functions and an understand of basic automation
• Computer skills – MS Excel, MS Word,
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills
• Apprentice trained desirable

Qualifications required:
• NVQ L3 or greater in an Engineering discipline

Physical Demands
You will be working in a busy automated warehouse which may be typically noisy and dusty, working at heights up to 30M will be required and shift work.

Environmental Conditions
Ambient warehouse, with areas of high noise levels.

Shift work – 2 x 12.25 hour days 2 x 12.25 hour nights 6 days off

Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience
