The RM IT Team Leader is responsible for the leadership and support of the SSI RM IT Team during their 12 hour shift. Being the main point of contact for the client during the escalation process you will also ensure that you lead the team effectively during shift ensuring full and accurate handover of information to maintain the effectiveness of the equipment on site.

  • Co-ordinates and assign workflow alongside supporting and leading the team on shift

  • Assists RM IT Manager with HR and administration tasks relating to your shift team

  • Takes full responsibility for the escalation management between SSI and our client throughout your shift

  • Identifies and resolves issues with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Material Flow Systems (MFS)

  • Monitors and troubleshoots server availability and updates Software as needed.

  • Designs test scenarios to identify system issues.

  • Trains internal and external customers to increase system knowledge, resolve issues and prevent issues from recurring

  • Creates documentation and training materials for system users and system service & maintenance

  • Designs, generates, and maintains reports detailing operational data

  • Analyses system daily operational reports to track and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Updates help-desk ticketing system to track, monitor, and resolve issues

  • Writes and updates knowledge base articles.

  • Effectively communicates with customers in high-impact scenarios

  • BSc or HND/HNC in Computer Science, IT engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience in similar work

  • Experience with Java or other object-oriented programming languages.

  • Experience with SQL databases (Oracle, My SQL, SQL Server).

Salary:  Competitive and dependant on experience

Full time role:  Average of 42 hours per week

Working Hours: 28-day rotation consisting of 12-hour day shifts from 06:00–18:00, 12-hour night shifts from 18:00-06:00

Working Location: H&M Site, Harvie Card Way, Gallagher Logistics Park, Magna Park, Milton Keynes, MK17 7AB

Holiday: 24 Shifts per annum, inclusive of bank holidays.
