As the core module, SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) offers a wide range of options for managing and controlling manual, semi-automated, and fully automated logistics systems. The aim here is to make optimal use of the various existing software functionalities and represent customer requirements individually.
With SAP EWM Material Flow System (MFS) as part of the EWM functional portfolio, SAP is directly connected to the automated warehouse control and manages processes from manual to complex intralogistics systems. The process of controlling modern high bay warehouses, miniloads, shuttle systems, robotics, and automated guided vehicles, but also picking systems, can be carried out quite easily with SAP EWM MFS. Customised user dialogs and analysis data are displayed in SAP EWM via user-friendly UI5/FIORI interfaces.
The Transportation Management (TM) SAP module stands for planning and executing the transport of all goods flows outside of the warehouse. This includes consolidating orders in the best possible way and creating precise forecasted demands and quantities, regardless of whether the goods are small packages, or a large-scale system is to be shipped. SAP TM will also find the best shipping route and integrate freight forwarders directly via the interfaces.
