Intelligent palletizing

With an integrated logistics solution from a single source, an intelligent software concept and modern robotics applications, the defined customer requirements were met: As a result, users benefit from efficient and more ergonomic processes, handling flexibility and scalability.

Portal robot

Four ro-ber FP150 gantry robots pick along the buffer aisle, accessing both statically provided A-turners and dynamically provided B- and C-turners within their action area.

Gripper

The gantry robots are equipped with multifunctional grippers that automatically adapt to the dimensions of the items and the type of packaging using servo-motor-adjustable suction cups. The gantry robots and grippers were developed by ro-ber Industrieroboter GmbH, a subsidiary of SSI Schäfer.

Intermediate layers

The removal of intermediate layers is also fully automated.

Packing pattern generator

The process is supported by vision technology in conjunction with the WAMAS® logistics software, so that each picking robot quickly identifies the correct position of the requested item. The stored packing pattern generator (SSI Pack Pattern Generator) ensures a secure, optimized arrangement of the items on the order pallets, which are made available for further processing via a buffer during the outbound process.
